| Lhasapoos and Shihpoos are completely non shedding, low allergen dogs maturing between 11" and 16" at the shoulder. Toy puppies mature from 10" upwards and are slightly lighter in build. An ideal first dog or for children or adults who are nervous or older owners. Suitable for all ages with loving gentle temperaments.
Fun, very loving and interactive. They will do long walks if you want to but equally happy with shorter regular walks and lots of games. Very person centred and child friendly.
The Lhasapoo and the Shihpoo are almost identical as adults in all ways. We breed F1 litters (50/50) and Multigene litters with at least 50% Lhasa or ShihTzu which both retain all the qualities of the Lhasa Apso (which is one of the 10 ancient breeds) and the Shih Tzu but have the great trainability of the Poodle. The Lhasa Apso and The ShihTzu can be a little indifferent and uncooperative in the pure breed but the addition of the Poodle make them a far easier, intelligent and person centred dog.
Colours - Solid colours White / Cream / Gold and Black and Brindle. Parti colours Gold / White, Apricot / White and Black / White and Tricolour.
The coat can be left uncut or scissored to produce a scruffy appearance or groomed and clipped to produce a short fluffy fleece type coat. It is up to you how you want them to look. You can choose to have them as scruffy or manicured as you wish. The coat requires regular combing and brushing as it does not moult. |
